Lana Rideout, 1944-2018

Longtime Howe Enterprise editor Lana Rideout has passed on Tuesday, September 4, 2018 at the Meadowbrook Care Center in Van Alstyne, Texas. Lana was born on May 18, 1944 the daughter of John Leo and Anna Louise Brown Bullard. She was iconic in capturing Howe’s history from the late 1970s through just a few years ago. She was a community leader involved with the Howe Community Library, Howe Chamber of Commerce, and Howe Historical Society just to name a few.

She is survived by her husband Dale Rideout of Howe, TX, son, Kirby Rideout, two daughters, Susie Dickey and husband Gary Don and Jamie English and husband Mark. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and her sister, Carolyn Diane Bullard.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Western Heights Church of Christ in Sherman, Texas. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM prior to Memorial Service.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made to Home Hospice, 505 West Center St., Sherman, Texas 75090.
