Howe school bus hit by vehicle

At approximately 7:30 a.m., a Howe ISD school bus was traveling east on Haning Street approaching the US 75 overpass. A silver SUV was stopped at the stop sign on N. Collins Frwy in front of the Valero service station. The driver of the school bus, stated that the silver SUV proceeded to travel through the intersection striking the bus on the driver’s side about mid way down the bus.  Due to a language barrier, it was unclear why the driver of the silver SUV proceeded through the intersection.

Howe Police Sergeant Michael Hill stated that no injuries were reported by either driver or from any of the kids on the bus. The kids on the bus were transported to another bus and taken on to school. School officials were on scene when Police officers arrived.”
