Road rage incident in Howe lands Oklahoma woman in the Grayson County Jail

HOWE, Texas – A Del City, Oklahoma, woman was arrested and booked into the Grayson County Jail Monday on charges of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon after brandishing a weapon at other motorists during a road rage incident in Howe.

The incident began in Van Alstyne and carried over into Howe as Philissa Ashford, 37, reportedly weaved in and out of traffic pointing a firearm at other motorists. Howe officers stopped Ashford’s black 2008 Toyota Avalon and seized a firearm matching the description of the gun provided by a 911 caller.

Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon is a second-degree felony, and if convicted, Ashford faces up to 20 years in prison and up to a $10,000 fine.
