Lone Oak leads the series, 3-2 having won the last meeting with the two schools back on Sept. 9, 1999 by a score of 35-7 at Buffalo Stadium. Howe’s first win in the series was a big one as Howe defeated the Buffaloes 21-12 on Nov. 27, 1970 for the bi-district championship at McKinney’s Ron Poe Stadium.
