Howe vs. Gunter series info 1935-current

Howe leads the series 17-11, but before this current century, Howe led 17-1 with the only loss coming in 1958 (Howe’s first year back from a ten year layoff from football).

 

Since 1997, Howe has lost ten straight meetings with Gunter and have been outscored 350-75.  Howe won 12-straight from 1935-1948 outscoring Gunter 317-37.

 

The first ever meeting was on November 1, 1935 with Howe winning 31-6.  The first meeting in Gunter was on November 4, 1938 and Howe won 43-0.

 

Overall, Howe is 7-4 at Gunter having outscored the Tigers 243-206.

 

The largest margin of victory in the series is 55.  In 2007, Gunter beat Howe 55-0.

 

Howe’s largest margin of victory is 47.  In 1940, Howe beat Gunter 54-7.

Howe 3rd and 4th grade Bulldogs Motivational Playoff Promo

The Howe Bulldogs enter the playoffs this Saturday with a matchup against Trenton.  They’ve put together a motivational video for their quest to be back to back Super Bowl Champions.

The team is getting to play at Cowboys AT&T Stadium again in November and are raising money for their expenses with a raffle of an Ipad mini or $100 Wal-Mart gift card.  Raffle tickets are $5 each.  Email mwalker@howeenteprise.com for your raffle ticket purchase.
