Bob L. Estep passed away on November 30, 2021 in McKinney, Texas at the age of 91. He was born on May 16, 1930 to Paris Estell and Alice Lee (McAninch) Estep in Anna, Texas. Bob married Melba Fern Cawthorn in Anna, Texas on September 29, 1950. He was in the United States Army and served during the Korean War.
Bob owned and operated Estep Furniture and Appliances in Howe, Texas for 43 years, where he was known as “Mr. Fix It Man”. He took pride in being a public servant, and served Anna, Texas on the school board and the city council. Bob was a member of the First Baptist Church of McKinney.
Bob is survived by his daughters, Linda Street and her husband, Del of Corinth, Texas; daughter, Donna Askew of Princeton, Texas; daughter, Patti McCartney and husband, Danny of Van Alstyne, Texas; daughter, Marsha Maring of Trophy Club, Texas; grandchildren, Julie Litchfield and husband, Lucky of Lake Dallas, Texas, Jeff Green and wife, Cortney of Princeton, Texas, Blake Askew of Princeton, Texas, Brad Askew of Princeton, Texas, Tara Melton and husband, Tim of Van Alstyne, Texas, Audre Latham and husband, BJ of Ponder, Texas; great grandchildren, Hayden and Harrison Litchfield, Bailey, Brittni, and Braelynn Askew, Landrie and Lexi Melton, Cheyenne and Conleigh Latham, Delaney, Drake, Samuel and Sloane Green.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Melba Estep; granddaughter, Tana McCartney; grandson, Adam Tilton; brothers, Jim, Judd, and Bill Estep; sisters, Elsie Funk, Coonie Dale, Dorothy Spurgin, Zoe Nalls, and Margie Morgan.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 3, 2021 at Highland Cemetery in Melissa, Texas. The family will receive friends for a visitation 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, December 2, 2021 at Turrentine-Jackson-Morrow Funeral Home in Allen, Texas.
