The Howe Community Library and Peggy’s Porch are hosting a holiday shopping spree on Monday, Dec. 14 at the Howe Community Library. There will be a wide assortment of items available for students to shop through for Christmas/Hanukkah presents for their families. The students will receive “Peggy’s Porch” bucks that they can use for purchasing items (items will only cost one “buck” each). There will be a gift wrapping station for wrapping their presents.
Library Director Becky Hogenson says that donated items would be greatly appreciated. Garage Sale types of items – especially toys, stuffed animals, jewelry, tools – really need gifts for men. Library staff and Peggy’s Porch volunteers will be setting up items on Saturday morning, Dec. 12. Those interested in helping can drop off items at the library any time. Hours for the shopping spree are 8:00-4:30 – Monday only. The sale will be held at the Howe Community Library.
