Elysian Fields hands Howe first loss

A team with perhaps the most perfect name for a baseball team, Elysian Fields beat Howe 5-3 to hand the Bulldogs their first loss of the season.  Howe starter Josh Griffin took the loss for Howe.

With the tie to Pottsboro earlier on Thursday, Howe now rests at 3-1-1 on the early season.  Full recaps of all of the games will be seen in this week’s Howe Enterprise on Monday.

Beatlemania to hit Howe in September

The Howe Ex-Student Association’s scholarship benefit concert will move from the 1950’s to the 1960’s.  In 2010, the association committee chose Kraig Parker (famous Elvis impersonator) and have now decided to go with Hard Night’s Day (a famous Beatles cover band).  The concert is scheduled for Sept. 19 at 7:30 at the Howe High School Cafeterium.  Tickets will be $25 and all proceeds will benefit the Howe Ex-Student Scholarship Fund. Complete information in Monday’s Howe Enterprise.
