Howe is entering game number 730 with an overall record of 371-334-24 dating back to the program’s first game in 1935. It will be the first ever match up between Howe and Edgewood. Howe hasn’t played in Royse City since 1992 when they lost 21-13. Howe has not played in the new stadium that opened in 2008.
It is Howe’s 31st playoff game and the overall playoff record is 11-16-3 in 72 seasons. Howe’s first playoff win was a controversial bi-district match up with Anna, who actually won the game on the field by a score of 7-6. However, the Coyotes used an ineligible player and Howe was awarded the Bi-District Championship, the first in school history.

In 2010, Howe came out of nowhere to have one of the most prolific offenses in school history. They won 9 games in the regular season earning themselves a week one bye. The bye hurt them as they lost in their first playoff game to New Boston. Here’s a look at the highlights of the 2010 Howe Bulldogs.
It was Howe’s first playoff game in 25 years. The 1970 Howe Bulldogs, coached by Norman Dickey ran out the 1970 season advancing as far as the schedule would take them. The original slot-T Bulldogs finished as Regional Champions. This is the bi-district game vs. Lone Oak. Howe is in white.
Howe took a 6-4 team to John Clark Stadium in Plano, Texas to take on the 8th ranked Celina Bobcats. No one expected what was going to happen that night from the Bulldogs.
A dispute on a neutral playoff site had Howe flipping to play the bi-district championship at home. The Bulldogs won the toss and played at Bulldog Stadium.
This is the 1989 Howe vs. Royse City bi-district showdown that Howe won 28-12
