The Howe Area Chamber of Commerce felt like a kid-friendly family event was just what the doctor ordered just before school starts. The event entitled “Hotter ‘N Howe Summer Bash 2019” will be held at Howe’s Bicentennial Park on US Highway 75 tomorrow, July 27, 2019, from 3 pm – dark. The three-ballpark area will feature a water slide and other activities.
The event was put in place to help Howe non-profits with their fundraising ventures. Thanks to a few sponsors, some of the organizations should raise a healthy amount of money if attendance goes as expected. The event will last until dark or until everything is sold out (whichever comes first).
Things for kids to do:
The Howe Area Chamber will have a water slide and a bounce house thanks to HIT Exteriors LLC, Housewarmers of Grayson County, and TLD Design Consulting LLC.
The Howe Fire Department will have a Slip ‘N Slide on-site as well as their fire trucks.
Howe Youth Basketball will be setting up a basketball goal at home plate of North Field for pickup games.
Howe Youth Volleyball will be setting up a volleyball net for anyone that wants to play.
Howe Youth Baseball will host a whiffle ball home run derby on the t-ball field.
Girl Scouts of Howe will have a water dunking booth.
Food:
Howe Area Chamber of Commerce is selling Muenster Smoked German Sausage on a stick.
Howe Youth Baseball is selling burgers
Howe Youth Volleyball will have funnel cakes and walking tacos.
The Howe Girl Scouts will have Cowboy Nachos.
Howe Development Foundation will have all the drinks – from water, Gatorade, and sodas thanks to their sponsor Howe Mercantile.
Howe Athletic Booster Club will have Dippin Dots for sale on-site also.
