Small business marketing workshop tomorrow in V.A.

Tomorrow, Dr. Caleb Braddock and Paul Nobles will host a Small Town Market Workshop for businesses wanting to effectively and cost-effectively market themselves.  Monte Walker of The Howe Enterprise will also speak and will offer the lowest rates of the year to new customers.

Fall Festival – October 18, 5 pm – 9 pm

Howe’s Annual Fall Festival will be held on October 18 from 5 pm – 9pm in the parking lot of Charles R. Thompson Gymnasium at the elementary and middle school.

Outside vendors are welcome and will be approved on a first-come-first-served basis.

Mud Run coming to Howe November 1

Keep Howe Beautiful has announced that they will he hosting the first ever 5K Mud Run in Howe at the 40 acre Jones Park (east of downtown Howe) on November 1.  Tickets for the 5K Mud Run are $40 in advance or $50 on the day of the event.  You can register at http://www.active.com/howe-tx/running/races/keep-howe-beautiful-mud-run-2014?int=

Along with the 5K Mud Run is a Family One Mile Fun Run.  Tickets for the One Mile Fun Run are $20 in advance or $30 at at the gate.

See You At The Pole

Students all across America will be praying at the flag poles at their schools today.  Howe’s flag pole prayer will begin at 7:15 AM.

The Circus corrects pricing; Where in the world is Jones Park?

The Circus is coming to Howe next Tuesday, September 30.

It was stated incorrectly in the ad that was placed with The Howe Enterprise that tickets were $13 for adults and $7 per child.  The actual price is $10 for adult and $6 per child in advance and $13 per adult and $7 per child at the gate.

Advanced tickets can be found at The Howe Community Library, Howe City Hall and the Howe Post Office.

Most people have been asking, “Just where is this Jones Park?”  Well, it’s located just east of the First Baptist Church on Davis Street over the railroad tracks.  You’ll find it if you follow Davis Street until it dead-ends.  The 45 acres that is currently gates is city property and will be used for events such as this in the future.
