Playoffs come with big price; Carroll, Menjivar out for season.

Howe slot back Stratton Carroll and defensive tackle Joel Menjivar each suffered a torn right ACL Friday night in Howe’s playoff clinching win over Whitewright.  Both will miss the rest of the season.  Carroll was second on the team in rushing with his 896 yards on 78 carries.  His 11.49 yards per carry leads the team.  Carroll’s Twitter message read, “Well this is going to be a tough six months”

FM 902 getting first layer of gravel

Citizens who frequently travel on FM 902 West will love the news of the gravel that is being placed today along the busy road in Howe.  There are two more layers that will be placed next week and then a final treatment will take place next May when it warms back up.
