1998 Howe Bulldogs Wall Final

Davey DuBose took over for Terry Davis in the ’96 season with hopes of regaining to the ‘Dogs form of the 80’s. DuBose did exactly that and by 1998, he had the winninest team since 1970 with 10 victories. The 10th victory may be the most exciting game in school history with the drumming of Pilot Point in Bi-District playoff action. The last two Bi-District victories came against the likes of Celina and Pilot Point. The 1998 Howe Bulldogs, led by senior Nathaniel “Neno” Falls, set a new school record by averaging 38 plus points per game. Falls ended his career by passing the unbelievable Billy Bryant Cloud in TD’s with 42 compared to Cloud’s 36. Cloud played in 19 games, while Falls played in 32. Clint Grogan would also rank himself at 7th with 15 TDs’. Josh DuBose would tie for 7th with 7 receiving TD’s.
