1939 Howe Bulldogs

9-2, District Champions

Howe entered Class B in 1939. The Bulldogs paid no attention to the classification change and set new marks as they won a then school record nine games. Howe’s shutout streak reached seven games over the 1938 and 1939 seasons, ending after Anna scored a touchdown. The Bulldogs rebounded with three straight shutouts. The 9-2 Bulldogs won the District Championship for the fourth straight season and this time, they made the playoffs. Howe lost to Lewisville 32-6.
